On Thursday December 1, the Link Crew visited their respective freshmen advisories. There, freshmen received a useful guide on finals studying tips that was compiled by older students.
“The freshmen need guidance and advice from older kids. Our main purpose is to calm [the freshmen] down and help them realize that it’s okay; it’s just a final,” said Link Crew member Sarika Asthana. “We explained the logistics of the exam, reinforced what they already know, and tried to give them more confidence so that they feel more secure come exam time.”
The visit proved beneficial for freshmen.
“I thought it was pretty useful because [upperclassmen] give good advice. They basically said that we don’t need to stress out too much because it’ll all come together in the end. Study as well as we need too, make an outline if necessary and we’ll be good,” said Shikhar Dixit (9).
Others agreed that the Link Crew helped finals seem less intimidating.
“It was really informative, and they made it sound a lot better than what I would have imagined,” said Nikita Parulkar (9).
