“I'm proud of every moment I've done well, but at the same time I don’t see one moment over the others. By being proud of a moment too much you're satisfied and complacent — and you can't ever be complacent. You want your proudest moment to be in your future. I feel like the past isn't important; it's about what you do in the present and the future,” Eric said.

“I only have one year left [at Harker], and I really want to take advantage of it. I know every single person has their unique story [and that] every single person is special in their own way, so I want to get to know everyone. In 20 years, I may not remember everyone, but whether it's someone I know well or not, just going to talk to them, having a quick laugh in between classes, those small moments are what I know I will carry on with me,” Bryan Zhang (12) said.

“Maybe it's the aroma of being in the woods. Maybe it's the appeal of being next to what primordial earth without civilization would have looked like. Maybe it's just being at peace with myself, relaxing and genuinely enjoying my time. But regardless, being outdoors feels like you're on an adventure, a journey, an exploration ... Adventuring out there and being in places that very few people have touched – it’s just something that's so cool to me,” David Feng (12) said.

“There's nothing like that feeling you get. You can't really put it into words. Just getting a new experience or learning something that completely changes the way you think.  And you can't do that by doing the same thing over and over. You can't do that by staying in your comfort zone, you know? And I can't describe the feeling, but it's — it's something else,” Martin Bourdev (12) said.
