Two members of the girls’ golf team, Natalie Vo (11) and Claire Chen (9), qualified as individuals to the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) State Golf Championships by placing in the top nine at the NorCal Regional Championships.

Natalie and Claire both shot 75 (+3) at NorCals, held last Monday at El Macero Country Club, to qualify for the individual State tournament. The girls will travel to Poppy Hills Golf Course on Nov. 19 to compete in the State Championship.

Golfers Katelyn Vo (12), Olivia Guo (11), Tina Xu (10) and Jessica Zhou (9) also competed at NorCals, shooting 77, 77, 84 and 89, respectively. As a team, the girls shot 388 (+25), placing fifth out of 12 teams and improving from their seventh-place finish last year.
