Sabrina Zhu, Winged Post Co-Editor-in-Chief

Sabrina Zhu (12) is the co-editor-in-chief of the Winged Post, and this is her fourth year on staff. Sabrina hopes to capture more campus life through her work and to help build a staff that’s passionate about storytelling and design. In her free time, Sabrina loves to watch rom-coms and spend time with her friends.

“After I'm done writing a piece, I feel like I know myself a little bit better. As I write, I am unraveling my own identity, and sometimes I'll figure something out about my own psychology through my characters. Those little moments of revelation are cool,” Athena Wu (12) said.

“At school, we all have tests, and we're all comparing ourselves constantly. We have all these different measures of comparison that we use against each other. But when it comes to spirit, I feel like it really unifies the classes together in a way that no other discipline can do. Spirit is the one time we can come together and celebrate high school," Anja Ree (12) said.

“A lot of the connections and people I’ve met in journalism have inspired me to take actions in my community and improve how I should be as a person. For example, TALON has taught me a lot about how to be a leader in the real world: a big part of leadership is just being patient, trusting your staff and remembering that everyone is working hard and doing their best to put their full effort in," Lavanya Subramanian (12) said.
