Illustration for the "A crow eats a corn dog" piece in this installment of "Life’s Tiny Treasures." I realize that I have been staring at the crow and its corn dog for the past several minutes, but for some reason, the view outside doesn’t seem so gray anymore.

“I want to be remembered as someone who, every time they were given a job to do or a role to fulfill, always did more than just that role. In a lot of the things that I do, I'm very passionate about them, and so I'm always expanding on the duties I already have. I'm always trying to do more than what's strictly given to me because I feel like it just makes life more interesting,” Aastha Mangla (12) said.

People have things going on in their own lives that they don’t talk about. [We] all deserve to be respected the same way and all need to respect other people in the same way,” Saumi Mehta (12) said.

“[Baseball's] a game of failure. There's always going to be off-days or off-weeks or months. I try to enjoy what I'm doing and how I get to wherever I end up. As long as the journey is enjoyable, even if some things don't go right, it'll still be worth it," Bobby Wang (12) said.
