“There's a lot of value in every moment and everyone around you. I appreciate people who just appreciate the little things. For me, I feel like everyone you meet can teach you a little bit, and that's something that I've really internalized over the years. I think that's part of why I like being around people and different communities so much. Because in each of these communities, you can learn so many different things from everyone," Olivia Xu ('24) said.

“Throughout my playing and training, it’s taught me that hard work always beats talent. When you're working on something, you’ve always got to persevere through the challenges because, in a squash match, no matter who you’re playing, it’s never going to be easy. You've always got to keep going and keep pushing," Varun Fuloria ('24) said.

“Along with motivation comes being able to adapt. Just because you fail the first time shouldn't mean that whatever you're doing isn't right for you. Sometimes it just means that you have to improve on areas you're weak on. By doing that, I learned that being motivated and having an open mindset is really what keeps me going,” Chloe Lee (12) said.

“[In] golf, I realized that there’s only so much you can control through technique. If you can really just focus on feeling the club and getting your shot and executing something you visualize, you have a much more productive and enjoyable experience. I tend to view a lot of things like that. Even in the way I study, the way I approach the classes, I try to make them as artistically enjoyable as possible, always trying to find a way to sort of visualize an outcome and play around with things until I get it," Athreya Daniel (12) said.
