“Robotics taught me to take the initiative a lot more. It taught me that with enough effort, you can basically get anything done as long as you just try, keep trying, and don’t back down. This sense of determination really comes out in other things if you just pick anything and just stick to it until you become really good at it. For robotics, it’s especially special since you also have other aspects like collaboration and managing a large team that you don't get with a lot of other activities," senior Aaron Chen said.

"When I first started volunteering, it was really nerve-wracking for me, but the more I did it, I started realizing there's nothing to be afraid of because I knew that I had the knowledge that they wanted from me. The more I did it, the less fear I had in going up to people because there's really nothing that can go wrong. It's ok if I don't know something. All of my shyness and social anxiety goes away when I know that someone needs help. Whatever it takes, I will help them if I can," senior Aryana Bharali said.

“I want to be remembered for being a good leader on campus in a variety of spaces, whether in a classroom or club. As a leader of MESA, I facilitate discussions about the Middle East. Although it’s a pretty contentious area, I’m proud of how we’re able to have a safe space where nobody has any problems with anyone else," Maziar Zhai ('25) said.

“The most important thing to me is helping others and making other people feel happy. That's what brings me joy. And so I always try to take that into account every day and try to bring a smile to other people's faces," senior Ariana Gauba.

“I like tackling problems and the satisfaction that comes with completing every question. Sitting there and debugging code has always been something enjoyable for me, even when it's difficult. I hope to make a positive impact on the community. Whether it be through soccer or through computer science, at the end of the day, I want at least the lives of some students to be better," senior Veer Sahasi said.

“I get distracted very easily for a lot of other things and then give up, but writing is one of the first things that I really hung on to, even if I didn't want to do it. It's helped me persevere and focus, because it's a way for me to express myself, so even if it gets boring and I get uninspired, I still push through. I really enjoy writing because it’s a source of pride for myself at being able to do something very well," senior Ben Fu said.

“If I lead by example, people will be able to say, ‘Oh, look at how many team bondings she did. I should do that too or even more,’ and try to surpass that and in the future, probably have a more bonded team. In DECA, I want there to be a lot more transparency between the officers and the members. If I foster that, then the next generation will foster that, and then the next generation will foster that," senior Maya Affaki said.

“I feel like something can only teach you so much. Personally, I like growing more holistically, being challenged but also finding my safety zone. I consistently try to sand down another edge in some sense by pushing myself. Everything cross applies, and when you stay in one niche, you don't grow as much," Mariana Rai (12) said.

“Obviously, with cheer, that's been a huge thing. Even with the LIFE Board, we've grown a ton. I just want to be remembered as someone who was committed even when things were tough, stuck it out, and left things better than I found them," Sarah Westgate (12) said.
