Keller’s Korner – October 28

In addition to the annual Fall Play, spirit was a major component of this past week, featuring a pumpkin carving competition along with Spirit Night.

On Wednesday, October 24, students took part in an interclass competition involving carving pumpkins. The seniors came in first, designing their pumpkin as an apple core. The juniors came in second, freshmen in third, and sophomores in last.

Hamlet, this year’s fall play, debuted on Thursday, October 25, with subsequent shows on Friday and Saturday. Directed by Performing Arts teacher Jeffrey Draper, the cast featured multiple actors portraying each major role, with a total of five Hamlets throughout the show.

To conclude the week, Spirit Night took place after school on Friday, October 26. Students from all four grades convened in the gym to work on floats, eagles, and skits for the upcoming Spirit Week in honor of Homecoming. Each class created their decorations based on their class themes, all of which are Disney related.

More events to look forward to next week include Spirit Week and Homecoming.
