The boys’ and girls’ soccer teams hosted the Kicks Against Cancer event yesterday evening, raising money for Camp Okizu by selling food, t-shirts, and raffle tickets on the sidelines throughout the games.

The junior varsity boys played first, losing their game against Menlo 0-4.

Then, the varsity girls’ won 5-0 against Pinewood, with goals scored by Megha Salvi (9), Ria Gupta (12), Emma Boyce (10) and a free kick by Julia Amick (12) from 30 yards away.

The varsity boys’ team started strong, maintaining possession of the ball for the majority of the first half of the game against Menlo, but the game ultimately ended with a 2-1 loss.

At halftime of the varsity boys’ game, the teams collectively announced the $1,500 they’d raised in total and thanked everyone for coming out to show their support.
