Members of the Harker community were invited to attend the first performance in this year’s Harker Concert Series, which was hosted at 8 p.m. tonight in the Patil Theater and featured jazz pianist Taylor Eigsti and jazz saxophonist Dayna Stephens.

Eigsti, who is childhood friends with upper school music teacher Dr. Dave Hart, has been nominated for two Grammy Awards, and he previously performed at the Concert Series three times. He spent the day today working with jazz band and hosting a master-class for students after school.

The Harker Concert Series has returned after a two years’ pause due to construction. The next performance of this year’s Concert Series will feature The Miró Quartet on Dec. 7.
