Varsity Girls Basketball narrowly misses win against Mercy SF

The varsity girls basketball team lost 50-51 against Mercy High School, San Francisco today, bringing their overall record to 10-6 and their league record to 1-3.

Despite being down 23-27 at halftime, the girls were able to quickly catch up during the third quarter and tie the game at 49-49 with a minute remaining in the fourth quarter. After Mercy scored with 13 seconds left to make the score 49-51, they fouled the Eagles, giving Harker two free throws. Harker split the pair, making the final score 50-51 in a close loss for the Eagles.

The girls host Castilleja tomorrow at 6:30.
