Swimmers participate in CCS meet

The swim team recently participated in the Central Coast Section meet at the Santa Clara International Swim Center.

Vivian Wang placed second in the 100 breaststroke and broke the school record.

Ethan Hu won the 100 butterfly with a time of 47.86 seconds, breaking the school record.

The boys 200 freestyle relay team of Ethan, Justin Culpepper, Michael Auld and Jack Farnham finished in 13th place, missing the school record by under two seconds.

The Boys 400 freestyle relay team of Ethan, Yannick Bohbot-Dridi, Michael, and Jack placed 11th overall with a time of 3:13.14, breaking the school record.

The team as a whole placed 17th overall out of 43 teams that attended the meet.

Vivian and Ethan will move on to the CIF State Championships this weekend in Clovis. Vivian is seeded fifth in the 100 breaststroke and Ethan is seeded fourth in the 100 butterfly.
