The girls water polo team currently holds a 3-9 league record and a 5-12 overall record. The girls do not have a junior varsity counterpart, so the varsity team includes four freshmen, balancing its distribution of players in different grades.

“This year we have a much stronger team than [we did] in past seasons. [Our win against Monta Vista on Sept. 29] was a great boost of confidence, and it really proved that we have improved significantly since the beginning of the season,” team member Meghana Karinthi (11) said. “I hope we continue to do better in the games to come.”

The girls play in their league tournament starting next Tuesday.
