The team is awarded their second place trophy after the game. They will host Willows High School in the Norcal quarterfinals tomorrow at 7pm.

The varsity girls’ volleyball team lost 3-0 to no. 1 seed Notre Dame-Belmont High School at the CCS finals at Independence High School.

In the first game, the girls lost by a two point margin to end with a score of 26-28. They lost both the second and third games with a score of 16-25.

Harker fans were asked by students and an email from Athletic Director Dan Molin to wear black to the game in support of the team. Despite the loss, Harker students, parents and teachers from all three campuses waved pompoms, made signs and cheered loudly throughout the entire game.

After the game, the girls were presented their second place trophy and took photos with their fellow teammates and supporters.

Harker is currently the third seed in the NorCal tournament. The girls will play the Norcal Quarterfinal vs. Willows High School in their last home game of the season tomorrow at 7 p.m.
