Manish Chandra, CEO and Founder of Poshmark, gives advice on starting a business to the audience. The CareerConnect business panel took place during long lunch in the Nichols Auditorium.

CareerConnect hosted its second panel during long lunch in the Nichols Auditorium, featuring four speakers from the field of business to talk to students.

The panel comprised of Manish Chandra, CEO and Founder of Poshmark; Cadir Lee, Co-Founder of CCK Partners; Tina Bean, Co-Founder and VP of Sales and Business Development at VisiStat; and Archana Baldwa, Strategic and Business Planning leader for the Networking Brand at IBM.

The business panel had more attendance and interest compared to the previous medicine panel.

“For this one, the students had a lot more questions for the panelists. Afterwards, we had several students stay and talk to the speakers as well,” Assistant Director Lucas Wang (9) said.

The speakers emphasized networking, having a passion for one’s business, and communicating well as key parts of being successful in the future.

“I was in a room with ten people, and I was the only one who looked at the technology and said ‘That’s a brilliant idea and I’m going to do this.’ I was able to persuade the technology builder that I was the person,” Bean said.

Speakers also addressed what the day in the life of a person who works in the business world looks like.
