From securing league titles to battling with tough rivals, the winter sports teams wrapped up their seasons showcasing team resilience and individual talent.
Varsity girls soccer finished with a 6-9-3 record which placed them fourth in the West Bay – Foothill League. Despite setbacks like injuries, the team battled through by remaining flexible in their lineup and developing younger players’ skills.
Varsity boys soccer fought in the West Bay League and ended with a 7-7 league record, 9-8-1 overall. Winger Cyrus Ghane (11) finished with a team high of 10 goals, followed closely by striker Vova Schergov (10) with nine. Seniors Ruhan Sahasi, Veer Sahasi and Jonathan Wang held the defensive line, keeping opponents scoreless five times throughout the season.
Varsity girls basketball secured the West Bay – Skyline League title with a 9-1 league record. As finalists in CCS Division IV, they compete in their first NorCal game on Tuesday. Guard Isabella Lo (12) scored her 1000th point during the season.
Varsity boys basketball secured fourth in the West Bay League and reached the second round of the CCS Division IV championships, capping off a 14-12 season. Standout performances included forward Rohit Yalla (12) scoring 25 points against Pinewood and shooting guard Alan Gao (11) with consecutive 20+ point games against Andrew Hill and Eastside College Prep.
