Finding the rainbow: Pride in London hosts first Pride 10K, empowering LGBTQ+ community
London-based volunteer organization Pride in London held the very first Pride Run 10K on June 9. The half-marathon, which was set up with help from The Race Organizer, another London-based organization that sets up non profit runs for charities all over London, was fundraising for the annual London pride parade, which costs over £1mil each year. Pride in London manages, organizes and plans London Pride each year and several other events related to Pride. This was the first major Pride event to take place in London, the main Pride Parade taking place from July 6-8.
