The PROJECT Trio played in the final Concert Series performance this season in the Patil Theater last Friday at 8 p.m.

Greg Pattillo on flute, Peter Seymour on double bass and Eric Stephenson on cello performed a mix of original songs such as “The Bodega” and classic songs, like the finale to Rossini’s “William Tell Overture,” with energetic twists.

“Whenever you’re playing in front of live people, that’s always the best for us,” Stephenson said. “Being in a room with other people, that’s the important part. We can bring the joy and the thoughtfulness and the sadness and everything, all the emotions, to help everyone in the room just know us a little better.”

Refreshments and desserts were served before the show and during the intermission. After the show, audience members could speak with the musicians and buy some of the trio’s CDs. The musicians also attended music classes and workshops prior to the concert.

Next school year’s Concert Series performances are yet to be announced.
