K-12 Library Director honored at retirement party

K-12 Library Director Sue Smith plans to retire tomorrow, after 13 years at Harker including teaching, improving the library program and guiding student research. A retirement party was held for Smith today in the Nichols Rotunda, to which faculty members were invited to honor Smith’s career. Current upper school campus librarian Lauri Vaughan will become Library Director during the second semester, librarian Meredith Cranston will become the campus librarian, and Amy Pelman will join the library program.
Sue Smith, who has worked as an archivist, a librarian and the K-12 Library Director at The Harker School, talks with colleagues at her retirement party this afternoon in the Nichols Rotunda.
