Six members of the boys golf team defeated Crystal Springs and Nueva on Wednesday, March 28.

The match at the San Jose Country Club had a 9-hole par rating of 33. Jin Kim (12) shot 32 (-1), Daulet Tuleubayev (12) shot 35 (+2), Victor Shin (12) shot 36 (+3), Aditya Tadimeti (9) shot 36 (+3), Bowen Yin (9) shot 37 (+4) and Gabriel Yang (9) shot 44 (+11).

Aditya believes that the seniors have been instrumental in helping the freshmen succeed during their games.

“They encourage us to play our best golf, and they support us when we don’t play well,” Aditya said. “The seniors give us pointers on our swings, and they give advice, especially to us freshmen, about how to have a great high school experience.”

Harker defeated both teams in order to maintain their undefeated streak of 6-0. The team has played and defeated Crystal Springs before, but this was their first game against Nueva this season.

Victor addressed the confidence that the varsity players have in both their teammates and themselves throughout the match.

“All of our varsity golfers are very confident in each of our abilities out on the golf course,” Victor said. “We all have very stable mental games for the game of golf, thus allowing us to stay consistent throughout each and every round.”

The boys play their next league match against Menlo on Wednesday, April 4.
