Sarah Wang (11) is a Conservatory editor and PDA editor for the TALON yearbook, and this is her third year on staff. This year, Sarah aims to connect with more people around the campus and highlight under-covered events in the yearbook. She wants to design creative spreads as well. In her free time, she loves to watch TV with her sister and draw, as well as animate! She’s looking forward to tech more theater productions!

“A specific aspect of volunteering that I love is seeing the actual difference you can make. It's very fulfilling. At the farm, when kids or people with disabilities come in and meet the animals, you can see the joy that it creates. It's really an unmatched experience to see that and to be a part of creating that," Avery Jones ('25) said.

Short form content is captivating but can be harmful. A narrative that goes viral is usually simple, short and compelling: it tells you what to know and exactly how to feel about it, no further nuance acknowledged, which erodes the critical thinking skills and media literacy habits of users who consume hours of short form media on a regular basis.
