Music Monday features a different category of songs on a weekly basis. Each Monday, Harker Aquila will release seven songs, one song for each day of the week.
Hip-hop artist J Dilla revolutionized hip-hop production with his unorthodox drum programming and soulful sample chopping. Rejecting the rigid quantization of drum machines, he pioneered a loose, organic swing and a slippery bass line that gave his beats an organic quality. His aptitude for jazz, soul and funk samples redefined the genre, influencing the production of artists like Kanye West and Erykah Badu. Aquila presents a mix of J Dilla’s greatest instrumentals from albums like Donuts, Welcome 2 Detroit and more.
