Music Monday: Scroll through TikTok with Aquila

by Varsha Rammohan, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Music Monday features a different category of songs on a weekly basis. Each Monday, Harker Aquila will release seven songs, one song for each day of the week.

TikTok’s taken the Gen Z world by storm since it first blew up a couple years ago. Compared to its older sister Musical.ly, TikTok started out as a more comedic outlet with significantly more creative freedom, and five years after its initial release, its clear that its influences have spread into the musical world. The app has provided a platform for up-and-coming artists to publicize their music, and some of those singers are today’s biggest stars: Lil Nas X, Arizona Zervas and Ant Saunders. Whether you know every meme in the TikTok textbook or haven’t yet fell down the rabbit hole, here’s a quick collection of popular songs on the app that’ll have you learning the associated dance or challenge in no time.
