February 3, 2019
The varsity boys basketball team fell 32-61 to the Eastside College Preparatory Panthers at home today evening, bringing the Eagles’ overall record to 10-11 and league record to 5-6.
The game began slowly, with neither team able to score until halfway through the first quarter, when 2 Eastside points were immediately followed by Harker equalizing. After a minor Eastside run, the quarter ended 6-9 in favor of the Panthers.
After trading baskets at the beginning of the second quarter, Eastside, who is ranked second in the West Bay Athletic League (WBAL), went on an 11-0 run to end the half. The Eagles entered the locker room confronting a 15-point deficit, 9-24.
