Weekend recap 9/24/18

The Guys’ Gig club organized rehearsals that were open to all upper school students on Monday.

Freshmen prepared for homecoming during the advisory period on Tuesday. They met in the Nichols atrium, where class dean Jeffrey Draper directed students to break up into smaller groups that either worked on painting the class eagle, preparing for the homecoming skit or practicing for the annual tug of war.

The junior class of 2020 held a Dippin’ Dots fundraiser last Thursday. They sold out by the end of long lunch.

The junior class filled out PSAT registration forms on Friday in the place of a class meeting, in preparation for the test on Oct. 10. Students who missed the PSAT registration attended a make-up session today in Nichols Auditorium immediately after advisory.

Many students attending the annual Oregon Shakespeare Festival or competing in out-of-state debate tournaments missed school on Friday.

Student club treasurers attended a club finance meeting today in the second half of long lunch. There, they discussed fundraising rules and club funding.

There will be no school this Friday as part of Fall Break.
