Former board of trustees chair Diana Nichols dies

Diana Nichols, former chair of the board of trustees and school leader, died last Sunday in her home in Carmel.
Faculty and staff learned of Nichols’s death through an email on Monday, and upper school students were informed in an announcement at the school meeting on Tuesday. Nichols passed away due to pancreatic cancer.
A memorial will be held on Oct. 6 at noon in the Rothschild Performing Arts Center.
Nichols’s husband, former head of school Howard Nichols, died in 2008.
