“This has been a really busy week coming over after homecoming–it always is. Students have had to crank it back up academically, which is appropriate,” said Upper School Division Head Butch Keller. “We’re really looking forward to the holiday season.”
While school returned to its normal pace after Homecoming, this week included the food drive, the Harker Eclectic Literary Magazine (HELM) club week, and Light up the Row at Santana Row.
Students participated in a class competition by bringing non-perishable food to school to donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank; the class with the most food will win.
Additionally, HELM hosted their annual club week with a bake sale held after school every day.
Finally, various groups from the Performing Arts Department of all campuses participated in a half-hour segment of Santana Row’s annual tree-lighting ceremony on Tuesday evening.
More events to look forward to after the Thanksgiving break include the Upper School Open House as well as a feature on the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams.
