Keller’s Korner – 4/25
During the past week students in grades 9-11 had the opportunity to campaign and run for their class council. Seniors swimmers were celebrated at their Senior Night.
I can’t see all the speeches for office, but apparently they were very entertaining from props of potatoes to props of puppets. It’s gonna be interesting to see what the results are. The student government next year is going to be excited about moving forward and having an impact on student life, which is always exciting for me. The senior swim day was really cool and that’s always nice when the seniors are completing their four year term of any athletic event.
Student speeches were held on Tuesday during the freshmen, sophomore, and junior class meetings and on Wednesday during an alternate schedule. Candidates often used metaphors or props to garner votes from fellow students. Voting was held on Friday.
Swimming senior night took place this past Wednesday. Seniors Kimberly Ma, Audebert Manon, Brian Tuan, and Kenneth Zhang received roses and presents from their fellow teammates to commemorate their participation on the team. The next swim meet is this Wednesday against the Menlo School.
