"I started following Kpop idols more these days because there’s more of a human aspect. If you get something just straight from the imagination, like in anime or something, sometimes they just start repeating. I like seeing actors because there’s no way for then to copy. Due to a lot of circumstances like plot and the actual capabilities of the actors themselves, each scene they act is going to look different. So I really appreciate that. And the camera work, if you mash all those together, usually it’ll come out with something different," Catherine Wang (12) said.

"When I’m hitting a shot, I think about absolute nothing but the target. I find that when I think about more than that, like what the shot means and about other factors, then it kind of distracts me. If I can block everything out of my mind except for the target, then I can hit the best shot I can," Scout McNealy (12) said.

"I always try to spend a little bit of my day just interacting with someone who I’ve never met before whether that be online or in real life. It's really interesting to see other people’s perspectives on topics and maybe controversial issues. You get to see so many different viewpoints on so many different topics, and that really allows you to emphasize with other people better as a result. You don’t get to tunnel vision and focus on just what you see, but you get to dive into what other people think," Andrew Chang (12) said.

"I’m kind of an unusual person," Lilia Gonzales (12) said. "First of all, there’s all those stuff about what I like to do in my free time, which is not something first of all most girls like to do and second of all, most people my age like to do. Usually the other people in the hobby [of records and stereo] currently are 50 year old men; it’s kind of funny."

This cartoon depicts what it feels like when I am constantly being compared to my sister. All the light and glory shines on her, while I’m sitting behind in her shadow enveloped in darkness where no one can see me.

“When I see something cool that I like, I just think, ‘that will be really awesome to draw,’ and I'll try to draw it. I usually don't end up with what I started with, but that's the beauty of drawing; you can start with a little seed of an idea, and you can branch to whatever you want," Michael Auld (12) said.
