This is Aquila Weekly Wrap-Up, where we bring you the latest updates from around our school community.
Saturday
The annual Senior Directed Showcase featured four 30-minute plays at the Patil Theater on Friday and Saturday, highlighting the work of senior directors Ananya Das, Avayna Glass, Leo Sobczyn and Hannah Streeper. The performances spanned genres including topical satire, sci-fi and comedy. Over the course of the year, the directors oversaw everything from casting actors to refining scenes through months of rehearsal to bring their creative visions to life on stage.
Thursday
Over 45 students performed at the Hoscars, the annual Harker talent show hosted by the ASB Student Events Committee in the Patil Theater. Performances included sophomore Evan Yuan’s contemporary dance to “Stick Season” by Noah Kahan, seniors Naiya Daswani and Hasini Namala’s rendition of “Calm Down” on traditional Indian instruments, AP Art History students’ humorous skit about a painting of Lady Liberty, and more.
Friday
Sophomores gathered for an afternoon of class bonding, watching the movie Crazy Rich Asians while eating snacks.
