On February 24, students, faculty, alumni, sponsors, and donors alike gathered in the San Jose Convention Center for the luncheon event of the 9th annual fashion show, Celebrate! K through Life.
The luncheon began at 12 p.m., with the jazz band providing accompanying music as the guests entered the ballroom. After a performance by the varsity dance troupe and speeches by Head of School Christopher Nikoloff, Revanth Kosaraju (12), and liaison of show Sue Prutton, the guests were given an opportunity to eat.
The performances included many styles modeled by students, faculty, and parents. Models and dancers strutted down the catwalk to assorted music, showing off various fashions. Every segment of the show centered around a different aspect of life, including the future, careers, and vacation.
Model Kathryn Wolfson (12) felt that the highlight of her experience was “just walking down the runway and wearing [designer] clothes.”
Sophomore Jerry Shen was one of the many students who attended the fashion show luncheon.
“I just wanted to see what it was like,” he said. “I heard a lot about it, and it’s one of the biggest fundraisers.”
The theme of Celebrate! was an appealing factor for some.
“I absolutely love this theme; it’s so different compared to the other themes,” Asia Howard (12) said. “I’m a big fan of colorful things, so this is just really lively.”
The dinner gala will be at 7:00 p.m. Sponsors included Old Navy, ella, and Spazio.
