On January 19, the Varsity girls’ soccer team defeated Latino College Prep 13-0 at Davis Field. The team now holds a league record of 5-2-1.
“On a wet, dismal, dreary day the girls played some sound technical soccer,” Head coach Jason Berry said. “Even though the competition wasn’t as stiff as we liked, they put in work that reflected the tactical play that we tried to accomplish during practice and put together a solid 13-to-nothing thrashing.”
The players were also very pleased that they were able to apply the techniques they learned during practice to the actual game and secure a victory.
“It was great. We played really hard. We played our formation and [won],” Alicia Clark (10) said.
The team will play its next game against Downtown College Prep on January 21.
