School meeting recap 4/20
Philosophy Club member Alex Young (11) shares details of the organization’s speaker series featuring professor of philosophy at Stanford University Dr. Barry Maguire. Dr. Maguire will speak about the influence of popular media in modern society and politics.

Members of the swim team played a video about their upcoming senior night on April 25 at 3:45 p.m.
Green Team is hosting a clothing exchange on April 26 in Spanish teacher Diana Moss’s room. The club will be accepting donations all week long, and leftover clothing will be donated to Sacred Heart Community Service.
Philosophy Club is hosting professor of philosophy at Stanford University Dr. Barry Maguire to speak about the influence of popular media in modern society and politics.
CTF announced their annual competition on April 27 from 3 to 8 p.m. in Nichols Hall. Teams of 2 to 4 will compete to solve computer science problems and win prizes. Signups are available at harker.io/signup.
Harker Strong will be hosting the first annual 3-on-3 Basketball Classic during long lunch on May 8. The signup form will be sent out on Monday, and the cap for the number of teams is 12.
United Against Animal Cruelty is hosting a trip to the Hidden Villa Farm tomorrow.
FEM club and WiSTEM announced their joint science of stereotypes discussion on Thursday in psychology teacher Kelly Horan’s room.
HarkerHacks is hosting a 24-hour hackathon from June 9 to 10.

The performing arts department showed a promotional video about this year’s spring musical, “42nd Street.”
Harker Athletics gave a short update about games this past week and encouraged students and faculty to support the teams at upcoming games this week.
The second Spirit Night will take place after school on April 25, and students can come to help their class prepare for Spirit Week.
ASB election results as well as class council election results for the rising sophomore, junior and senior classes were announced.
