This year’s ReCreate Reading program features 63 books and five visiting authors. Book lists and the names of the teacher sponsors are available at library.harker.org/read as well as signup dates.

Spanish National Honor Society is hosting their annual culture night, La Noche Cultural, on March 9 at 6 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. The culture night will feature student performances and ethnic foods.

History Club is hosting the next Shah Salon on March 7 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. History teacher Ruth Meyer’s session is called “Rebels With a Cause: English Punk Feminists ‘77-’80” and history teachers Carol Green, Mark Janda and Byron Stevens’s session is about student activists.

Student council’s Food Committee is extending the expiration date on snack bar cards to March 16 and will be transitioning to an online system for food sales in the coming weeks.

Male Wellness announced they will have a meeting on March 12.

Math teacher Bradley Stoll spoke about the importance of service and the ways students could give back to their communities.

Harker Athletics gave a short update about games this past week and encouraged students and faculty to support the teams at upcoming games this week.

The annual Harker Spirit ice skating trip is on Friday at 7 p.m. at Solar4America Ice.
