English teacher Charles Shuttleworth and theater teacher Jeffrey Draper announced the annual Shakespeare competition, which will take place on Feb. 22 during long lunch in Nichols Auditorium. The top three performers will win prizes, and the winner will go to the competition’s next level in San Francisco.

Programming Club will email the signups for their intramural programming competition today. Students who want to compete must sign up by the end of the day tomorrow.

Next week is the club week for the international clubs, and club members will sell food and host cultural events throughout the week.

Oeconomica arranged for Michael Sheldon, a data scientist for Uber, to speak about income targeting on Feb. 6 at 12:40 p.m. in Nichols Auditorium.

The Harker Podcast Network’s first podcast is available at harkerpodcasts.net. At just over 10 minutes in length, the first podcast features a theme song sung by Bel Canto, Draper, psychology teacher Kelly Horan, Sukrit Ganesh (11) and Sameep Mangat (12).

Student council’s Happiness Committee is organizing Valentine’s Day decorating during lunch this week outside Manzanita. The decorations will go up in Main this week.

For their club week, Spanish National Honor Society will be selling churros, Mexican hot chocolate and tres leches cake during morning office hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and after school on Thursday.

Assistant Head of School Greg Lawson spoke about what to do in the case of a noxious gas leak.

The varsity girls basketball team played a video to announce their senior night on Feb. 6. Harker Athletics gave a short update about games this past week and encouraged students and faculty to support the teams at upcoming games this week. The varsity girls soccer team’s senior night is tomorrow at 3 p.m.
