School meeting recap 9/15
September 15, 2017
*note: the following story has been updated following the conclusion of the junior class’ Dippin’ Dots fundraiser on Friday, September 15.
The junior class’ Dippin’ Dots fundraiser during long lunch last Friday raised around $500.
“From student account charges it was around $660, and subtracting the cost of both the Dippin’ Dots itself as well as the dry ice, it [came] out to about $500,” class of 2019 treasurer Shania Wang (11) said.
Junior class officers sold the dot-shaped ice cream in front of Manzanita. Cups, with flavors of cookies and cream, rainbow ice and mint chocolate, cost $6 each.
“It was just a fundraiser for the junior class to help us with all of our activities, such as winter ball planning, and also for the senior gift for next year,” Shania said. “Everyone loves Dippin’ Dots, and other fundraisers are always the same thing, like milk tea, so we wanted to do something different.”
