Members of Student Council and Honor Council convened at the after school on Tuesday, September 6 to learn the proper procedure for raising, lowering, and folding the American and Californian flags.
Having trained and practiced from his experience in Boy Scout, Noah Levy (12) instructed the students and present faculty members on the correct flag-raising etiquette, such as saluting during the procedure and properly folding and carrying the flag.
“I think the way in which he [Noah] taught the Honor Council, Student Council members to raise the flag exhibited his commitment and dedication to serving the country and to community and I think it conveyed that really well,” Faculty Chair of the Honor Council Dr. Pauline Paskali said.
“The next time you see a flag being raised, just take a second to stop and salute,” Levy said. “It’ll only take about a minute out of your day, but it’s a way to show respect to our country.”
