As its name suggests, the cozy Thai and Cambodian fusion bistro is a great place to stop for delicious sampling of Southeast Asian food. The decorative interior belies the unassuming exterior, complete with classy, cherry wood décor, a cheerful color scheme, and intricate wall art pieces. Plus, it opened just five months ago and is not crowded at all.
Located off of El Camino Real, Thaibodia is a great place to stop by for a taste of the Southeast Asia at a low price. The menu offers an extensive list of both classic and new Thai dishes, including Pad Thai, Red Curry, and their special Crispy Love Noodles. Each item includes a unique mix of sautéed vegetables with a personal addition of meat or tofu, an appealing option for vegetarians.
The lunch special is an astonishing $6.99 flat, served with the soup of the day, salad, and steamed rice. The Spicy Noodles are a great complement to a Green Curry or an Angry Chicken. Each of the dishes arrived on classy rectangular plates and in generous proportions for the low price.
The freedom in the choice of dish, meat, and spiciness create a large variety of food combinations, making Thaibodia a restaurant to revisit. If one has the accommodating taste buds, any meal can arrive spicy hot, or one can stick to mild and relish the unique flavor. This restaurant is a tasty new secret of Santa Clara. The restaurant suits a wide range: children, family dinners, groups, and a casual night out. It is not worth driving across town for, but if you are looking for nearby Thai food well above par, Thaibodia Bistro is definitely the place to go.
