In response to a Harker Aquila Facebook-based contest, students posted photos and videos with the hashtag #harkerpromposal to enter a random drawing.
The winners of the contest, seniors Sahitya Prakash and Andy Wang, won goodybags of giftcards, movie tickets, stuffed animals, gel pens, and chocolate available in the journalism room.
Combining several classic prom asks, Andy used roses, candles, a poster, a Starbucks beverage, and pizookies to ask Sahithya. His intricate ask began with blindfolding Sahithya and leading her to the Nichols auditorium, where she watched a video of Andy explaining how he came up with an idea for the ask.
