The four speakers at CareerConnect shared their insight on why they chose medicine as a career and advice for high school students who are unsure of what they want to do in the future.

CareerConnect hosted its first career panel in the Nichols Auditorium, featuring four speakers in the field of medicine from the Silicon Valley during Wednesday’s long lunch.

The speakers included Neha Indu Vibhakar, a radiologist at Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group; Jennifer Logan, an aesthetic business consultant at Jan Manini Skin Research; Jenny Brezoczky, CEO and Founder of Butterfly Health; and Dr. Deepika Jain, a cosmetic dentist who owns multiple practices.

Director of CareerConnect Sarah Bean (11) and Assistant Director Riya Chandra (9) organized the event, which took place from 11:30 to 12:15 p.m. Sarah talked on stage with the speakers and felt that this panel would benefit fellow students in the community.

“A lot of students are anxious about their futures and don’t know what they’re going to do with the rest of their lives,” she said. “So I think setting up career panels and the mentorship program as a part of CareerConnect really help take that stress off a lot of the students here, and I am glad to be a part of that.”

The four speakers discussed the beginnings and processes of their medical careers and answered any questions from the students.

This medicine career panel is the first of four panels to be held at the Upper School, all of which will take place this month; the next three panels cover Business, Computer Science and Engineering, and Law. A mentor program and professionalism accompany the career panels as well.
