Siemens semifinalists announced today
The Siemens Foundation will announce the semifinalists of the Siemens Competition in Math, Science and Technology today and will announce the finalists next Monday.
300 semifinalists are selected each year from approximately 1400 submissions. Established by the Siemens foundation in 1999, the award recognizes excellence in research and technical writing by high school students. Last year, 13 Upper school students became semifinalists, and four became finalists.
Both semifinalists and finalists will receive national recognition, but only finalists will move on to the next round of competition. Finalists will have until Nov. 2 to prepare posters and presentations for the regional round of competition.
