March 17 is a special date, representing a day of pride and spirit for one’s origins. No, I do not care about St. Patrick’s Day, it is time for March Madness.
The NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament, “March Madness” is aptly dubbed so for two reasons. One, this single-elimination tournament seemingly always follows expectations— in that it will not follow anybody’s expectations. No analyst or computer can account for the frenzy of playoff basketball, with even the most sound picks somehow always failing. Secondly, the craze of “bracketology” somehow permeates every environment, with everyone from your soccer friend to your history teacher and maybe even your dog suddenly becoming avid college basketball fans. But how much can a few class periods of research really get you? Watch this video to find out.
