3 spring smoothies and shakes

Now that healthy smoothies and blended drinks and juices are becoming popular, it’s becoming common for people to buy their own blenders and make their own smoothies. That way, it’s easier to know exactly what’s in the drink and it’s quick and easy to customize it to one’s taste.

Some may prefer to make delicious milkshakes to enjoy on a warm day in addition to cool and refreshing smoothies.

Banana Blueberry Orange Smoothie

Ingredients:

¾  cup water

1 medium orange

1 banana, fresh or frozen

½ cup frozen blueberries

Instructions:

Turn the blender on high and blend for one minute, or until smooth.

Note: This smoothie may thicken if left out and may need to be stirred.

Strawberry Grape Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cup green grapes, seedless

1 cup red grapes, seedless

1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen

½ cup ice

Instructions:

Turn the blender on high and blend for one minute, or until smooth.

Note: This smoothie may separate if left out and may need to be stirred. 

Ice Cream Shake

Ingredients:

1 cup any ice cream

½ cup skim milk

1 cup ice

 Instructions:

Turn the blender on high and blend for one minute, or until smooth.

 

Note: Any chunks in ice cream may separate after blending.
