School meeting recap – 8/25
The first school meeting of the school year took place in the gym yesterday morning.
Students who wish to submit an announcement to school meeting should email [email protected] by the Thursday before the upcoming school meeting.
The Conservatory Kickoff will take place at the Upper School tomorrow at 5:45 p.m. It is mandatory for all conservatory students.
This year’s fall play will be William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Sadhika Malladi (11) and Daniela Lee (12) were recognized as Google Science Fair finalists. Students are encouraged to vote for Sadhika and Daniela starting Sept. 1.
All compostable waste should be placed in the green trash cans. All other disposables should be placed into the blue trash cans.
New additions to the lunch room include a healthy food station and a do-it-yourself sandwich station.
Unaccompanied students remaining on campus after 6 p.m. should go to Manzanita Hall and check in. Parents should plan to pick students up by campus closing time, which is 7 p.m.
The CapriSun Brigade has placed two large receptacles on either side of the Edge for students to dispose of finished CapriSun pouches in.
There will be a special schedule this Thursday to accommodate ReCreate Reading. Locations will be displayed on signs outside the edge.
There is a mandatory fall sports meeting for students and at least one parent per student that will take place in Nichols Hall tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. Students still interested in enrolling in a fall sport are eligible to do so.
First Friday, hosted by Spirit Club, will take place this Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale this week during lunch for $15. The event will feature games and a hamster wheel for students to run on.
