Aditya Varshney, Opinion Editor

Aditya Varshney (12) is the opinion editor of Harker Aquila and the Winged Post. This is his second year on staff. During his junior year, he occupied the positions of reporter and Aquila Social Media editor. Beyond journalism, Adi is actively involved in science outreach and tutoring clubs. He also played Harker basketball for two seasons. During his free time, he likes to bike, shoot hoops, play video games and spend time with friends.

Although an estimated 111.9 million Americans watched Super Bowl 50 on TV, such sporting events are becoming more expensive to witness in person. With ticket price dictating who gets to attend the event, money plays an increasingly larger role in sports. Ultimately, these higher ticket fees may dampen enthusiasm for the sport.
