Behold, part one of our prom menu (see the sneak peak here), the appetizer. Bread is the perfect start to any number-course dinner, especially crispy bread in the form of bruschetta, topped with a generous grating of cheese.

  3. Methods of cooking: Baked

  4. Keep in mind: Make sure the bread is very crispy and just browning around the edges the first time you bake it. Also, letting the tomato mixture sit for a while will help it infuse flavors better

  6. Why you should make it: Perfect appetizer starter. Also it is very delicious.

Ingredients

  1. 10 slices of baguette

  2. 2 large tomatoes, diced

  3. ½ red onion, finely diced

  4. 1 tsp lemon juice

  5. 1-2 cloves of garlic

  6. a couple stems worth of oregano leaves (around 2 tsp), finely chopped

  7. 5-6 large fresh basil leaves, finely chopped

  8. 7-8 large parsley leaves, finely chopped

  9. A block of parmesan cheese (the good, more pricey stuff. It makes a difference) You’ll need around ⅓ cup
