Ryan Palmer (11) competes in one of his events. Varsity swimmers competed against King’s Academy today at a home meet.

Varsity and Junior Varsity swim teams competed against King’s Academy yesterday in a home meet at the Singh Aquatic Center.

Swimmers raced in individual and relay events, covering distances that ranged from 50 to 500 yards.

“I challenged myself today. I swam the 500 free,” Brian Tuan (12) said. “It was a long event, but I’m extremely proud that I finished it.”

From the current point in the season, Delaney Martin (11) is most excited for the West Bay Athletic League finals in May.

“I think we always do pretty well, and it’s a good way to show all of our commitment throughout the season because we really do our best and strive to get our fastest times,” Delaney Martin (11) said.

The swimmers’ last home meet will take place April 23 against Sacred Heart Preparatory School for their senior night.
